·         Scripture

·         ‘father of our nation’ (George Washington)

·         Inaugural spectators

·         Barack Obama quotes the scripture and former president, George Washington, to give weight to his claims and original thoughts. The audience who bore witness to his speech can also attest to the event and his sincerity throughout.

Source Analysis: BBC is the world’s largest broadcasting corporation, boasting 8 national television channels, 50 radio stations and a broad website with features to toggle between a UK version and an international version of the site. BBC is ran under a Royal Charter and funded by UK households using a licence fee.

Usefulness: The inaugural address is the most current evidence we have of the intent of the Obama Administration. Obama’s speech made promises and allusions to drastic reform of our education. His general statements, of which there were many, Obama voiced disappointment in the lack of progress. He also directly addressed schools. He said, “our schools fail too many” and “we will transform our schools…to meet the demands of a new age.” These statements made in his inaugural speech give reason to believe there is weight in his outline at whitehouse.gov of the changes to be made in our schools.
